January 8, 2011

So - we had a very full day today (enough that I'm having to post the next day) preparing for the Ice Storm 2011. It is very true that Birminghamians do not know how to deal with bad weather...so it feels like home! Even Costco has run out of bread! We have enough milk and bread and eggs for a while...and Motrin for Kiki, who is cutting three teeth! I even bought the supplies to make a lot of chili (and practiced turning on the burner with a lighter thanks to Dad!) in case we needed to have a snow party. The Mortons across the street (huge house, whole-house generator) have invited us over should we lose power so really, we are set! Edmund is excited to build a snowman! We'll see what happens!

EH is calling Gandaddy to ask him what he wants for lunch.
These carts are like boats...they require special driving skills - which I am lacking. They are out of the question on the weekends...luckily this picture was taken on a Thursday morning - before the Heels beat TN in the Music City Bowl! EH proceeded to eat almost 4 mini-boxes of raisins on this trip and Kiki just enjoyed the steering wheel!
