It's true - we got him to smile! Apparently if we force a camera in front of EH enough - he will decide that it's okay to have his picture taken....or perhaps his mom is finally smart enough to con him into smiling. One way or another, he ended up in a tree prior to nap time today (the weather was right at 60 degrees and beautiful) and actually smiled! The results are above!

We had a great play date this morning with our friends Hampton (4) and Camden (20 mo.) and their mom, Katie. We met them at school - in the parking lot. Her kids are in other classes - but we met walking them all in every day. She is probably one of the most genuine people and a great mom - so it makes it really easy to get together! Her son, Hampton, was an excellent example for EH today. EH asked him which train he could play with (he has every one under the sun) and he looked at EH and said, "Well, any train you want to play with is fine." EH looked at me like, "This guy is crazy! Did he just say I could play with any of them?!" And, he proceeded to play with all of them! He was so amazed that sharing actually works! He also sat at lunch like a big boy and even asked to walk down the steps "all by himself." At one point he asked me, "Is Campton (mixing the two names together) going to be my friend?" I said, "Yes, definitely!" Hopefully we will get to spend a lot more time with them!

Here's a fun random picture of Kiki for the day. Nothing new - she was a busy girl crawling all over the place today and I didn't have a chance to snap a new picture! She especially likes to start in her room and crawl to wherever EH is playing! She gets so tickled when she finds him!

Edmund wants to add a quick story before we post: EH has learned that if he askes Edmund to "watch football" then he can stay up a little later. Tonight he caught a little bit of the Texas A&M and LSU game. Following the game (or at the first commercial) they went to read books. EH has a picture of Edmund in his football uniform in his room (which he thinks is totally cool!). He told Edmund, "I want to play football like you, Daddy. I'll need a helmet and a puff here and a puff there." Daddy replied, "Those are called shoulder pads, EH." :-)
