February 6, 2011

All day long, EH keeps lifting up the bill of his hat and saying, "How my hair look, Mom? It look good?!" He is so proud of not crying yesterday! And, admittedly, it does look good! You'll get to see him soon!

Today was pretty relaxing. The weather finally perked up and EH got to play a little football outside. We talked for a while with our next door neighbors - who are great. He works in the trucking business (Josh and Laura are their names...yes, literally every guy we've met so far is either names Josh or Jason) and she is studying to be an architect. They were telling us about a big chili cook-off the first weekend in March that takes place in the park right behind our house. They said the party spills into our street - so if anyone is looking for a fun time to come down...look at that weekend. Apparently over 100 teams enter!

Anyway, EH wouldn't let us video him throwing the football although I must say, he's pretty good at it; however, he did give us this classic shot of EH giving instruction...something he has come by honest - but it doesn't make it any less funny! Just check out his face...I'm sure he's saying, "Be reay careful, Mommy. Do you see that red car?" (Yes, he did say that when we went to Costco today!)

Edmund went to watch the Superbowl at Dave's pizza with Josh (Katie's husband....yes, that does mean two frates in a row - look out!) and said he had a great time. I stayed here and built a huge pillow mountain with EH and CV. Check it out! EH gathered every "soft thing" he could think of and then suggested that we put Kiki in the middle of the pile. She wasn't so sure at first...

It's a school day tomorrow! Yay! I'll let you know if anything exciting happens!

Cheers from Homewood,

Emily
