After a brief layoff for my sister, Mary's wedding, and the resulting recovery, we're still without wedding pictures. Our camera batteries were on the fritz, so for any family members reading, if you've got any that you can e-mail, please send. Don't make me rip them off Facebook. But we did rip one off from the reception. (Which in brief, some memories include: EH and Kiki doing a fantastic job at the wedding although EH continues to describe it as "reary hard work...Kiki was reary heavy in that wagon!," Getting my hair blown out for the reception by Megan Lykins (whom I babysat back in Albemarle a good 17 years ago!) and feeling like it had never looked better!, seeing my mother-in-law rap a Kanye song from start to finish without missing a single lyric...man I wish I had that on video...we could win enough money to pay for that whole wedding!, and of course getting to see so many Texans!

At the reception just before the official kid meltdown!
After the wedding, we headed to our beloved Harris Teeter to buy the food for Caty Van's joint birthday party with her cousin James (Cat and Kyle's son) the next day. Here are some pictures from the venture! Must say - Catherine and I worked really well together on this one! She decorated and I catered!
The birthday cake!!
Aunt Cat took one picture from each month for the first year and displayed them! See Caty Van's pictures tomorrow!
James's pictures!
The food table
Banana pudding for dessert! Afterall - it was a monkey party!
The lady of the hour!
Caty Van with Big Grandaddy.
Getting cracked up with Gog! (Not hard to do!)
Welcome to James and Caty Van's 1st birthday!
Man of the hour!!
We have lots more to catch up on - like Kiki's next two birthday celebrations once we got home and EH gaining a lot more courage at the park (you won't believe what he did!) and even better - someone is sporting big man underpants around here now....here's a sneak peak at our little man growing up:
So - make sure and keep checking back with us! We'll catch you up on the last two weeks and what's going on this week!
Cheers from Homewood,
The Balls
