It was January!!

Yeah yeah, we know. We're a little behind on our resolution. Did we really say daily? I thought it was quarterly, no? Anyway, if our last post wasn't clear enough, hopefully this will be:

That's right - although we told most of you about our news, it should go without saying how excited we are about our Christmas bonus! Funny enough, on our way back we were laughing about how we had a nice little system going...

Loud and clear God!

Anyway, the baby's healthy and growing. Emily's not been feeling too great per usual and there's been some debate about whether this is a boy or girl. The bad days will mean it's a girl and then the good days will mean it's a boy. It's been back & forth. Either would be great. I think EH is just proud to be on top, and another boy or girl won't stop him from directing everyone.

Emily has an appointment at the end of the month when we'll find out for sure. The timing's interesting because we also MIGHT know whether my company's contract with Compass Bank will get renewed...

Anyway, although our posts haven't been great (i.e. nonexistant), we gotta catch up. Here's our best pictures from January:

One of my Christmas presents this year was two tickets to the UNC/BC game. I decided Emily could be my date, and we made a whole day of it. Walking around campus, hitting student stores and finally FINALLY catching a tour of the Men's Basketball Museum. Amazing...

Here's a picture of Emily & I on the hallowed grounds...

It's all fun & games until...

When I doubt that he & I are related, EH opens his mouth:

A few EH notes - he is continuing to do well in school and loving his teachers. He had zoo week and then jungle week so his current obsession with lions and hyenas fit right in! He is currently into Christmas songs and requires that we listen to Louis Armstrong when we get in the car. Kiki always yells out, "Anta...ho ho ho." Who cares that the flowers are blooming, right - Christmas music is wonderful year round. And, speaking of Jesus' birthday, EH OBSESSED about his birthday. He wants to know when it is coming, where it will take place, but most importantly, what presents will he get? He constantly reminds Caty Van that she is supposed to get him a gift and often makes suggestions. Currently, it is a Spiderman, Lion, Thomas, Dinosaur party with a Burro pinata. We'll see what actually happens. Other interesting EH news, he's very into ethnicity these days. He wants to know who speaks what language and where are they from. We are considering a globe for his birthday so he can learn the difference between Europe, Africa, and Asia...no, EH, they don't all speak Spanish.

Onto the Keeks...who tends to always find a way to make things about her....

Keeks in timeout. I swear there are grooves forming in the floor because of the amount of time spent here...

One of Caty Van's Christmas presents - her new - handcrafted - crib rocker!

She's a maniac, maniac on the floor, and she's dancing like she's never danced before...

Although most of us know her as a dance enthusiast, not many people know that she LOVES to brush her teeth and will stand in front of a sink with the faucet running brushing her teeth for as long as you'll let her...

How can someone that cute be so, so bad?!

Nesting revealed! Upon realizing our new addition was going to change things up, we moved Keeks to a big girl bed! BIG BIG thanks to Aunt Mary/Uncle Ben for their helpful hints! (CV and Helen are so much alike, so it's been nice to glean information from their "struggle."

Cheers from Homewood!
